Barcelona coach Xavi defended his players after defeat at Real Madrid last night.
Xavi insists his team remains "in transition" after the 3-1 reverse.
He said, "Until now we were doing very well in the league. We had talked about stopping setbacks and transitions that Real Madrid takes good advantage of.
"We are in transition, but we have to improve a lot. We have to be more competitive.
"The summary is that we are in a negative dynamic and we have to change it as soon as possible.
"It's football and it's a game of mistakes. Real Madrid minimises mistakes and maximises successes, that's why they're a great team."
