Barcelona are in talks to take LA Galaxy defender Julin Araujo on loan before the end of the January transfer window on Tuesday.
Relevo says Bara have been in negotiations for the right-back for what would be a loan deal with an option to buy.
The Mexican player, 21, would officially join as a reserve team player and would be called up to the first team when Xavi needs to boost his squad.
Araujo would join the Bara team coached by his compatriot Rafa Mrquez. The Camp Nou club will need a right-back if the departure of Hctor Bellern to Portuguese side Sporting CP is confirmed.
With Pedro Porro on his way to Tottenham, Bellern could join Sporting as his replacement in the next 24 hours.
