Barcelona have opened talks for Rennes fullback Hamari Traore.
The French club are willing to do business as they need to raise money.
Traore was one of the standout right-backs in Ligue 1 last year and is a player very much to sporting director Jordi Cruyff's fancy. The captain of the French club is out of contract in 2023 and adds to the list of options for the position at Camp Nou, along with Juan Foyth, who has a €42 million release clause in his Villarreal contract.
Foyth is still the first target but the price could prove prohibitive. There need to be exits to make room for more signings.
