New contract talks between Barcelona and Gavi have hit another road block.
The Spain international's agents have been in negotiations for almost a year with Barca about a new deal.
Indeed, Barca chief Mateu Alemany said on August 5 at Franck Kessie's signing ceremony: "There is a framework in agreement with the player and the agent, but a contract of more than three years cannot be made until he turns 18. Don't worry, Gavi will continue with us 100%."
However, after his 18th birthday, terms are still not settled and Okdiario says Gavi's new contract has been "placed in the freezer".
