
Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits he didn't want to sell the club's media rights.
Laporta has overseen the sale of a major percentage of Barca's television and media rights.
He told the New York Times: "It was a decision I honestly didn't want to make.
"It is a requirement. I am not a gambler, I take calculated risks."
The triggering of the 'financial levers' this summer has allowed Barca welcome the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Koundé.
