Barcelona president Joan Laporta has held talks with the agent of Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
Barca are interested in the Colombia international ahead of the summer market.
El Heraldo de Colombia says Laporta has already met with Carlos Van Strahlen, a representative of the former Porto player, to understand what figures would be necessary to put on the table to convince Liverpool to sell the winger.
However, everything was stopped in its tracks when Laporta was informed of the 140m demanded by the Reds.
Given the financial situation of the Catalan club, it is unthinkable that negotiations could be initiated at the current price.
