Barcelona president Joan Laporta insist both he and the club will be ruled innocent in the Negreira Case.
Laporta was charged with bribery by the judge presiding over the investigation.
But the Barca supremo told Cataluyna Radio: "They will not be able to prove anything because it is not true. Referees have not been paid. I am a lawyer and this cannot succeed. This will end in a ruling that will absolve Bara.
"He is not a public official (Enrquez Negreira), it is not a continuing crime and it is prescribed. We will see if it goes to trial because it is in the preoperative phase. I am a jurist and I see that this cannot prosper."
"There is a sociological Madridism in the spheres of power in the capital that has always existed and has taken advantage of the 'Negreira case' to try to dirty our club. The majority of those who have had power have been from Madrid. We have to accept it normally."
