KEMABONG: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has emphasised the importance of teamwork among BN candidates for the coming 17th State Election, stating that unity is crucial for success.

During the launch of the Wanita Barisan Nasional Jalinan Rakyat (JR) machinery for the Tenom Division, Bung stressed that regardless of who is ultimately chosen as the BN candidate for each constituency, collaboration and a shared commitment to victory are paramount.

“If we (BN) want to win, work as a team, work as if you want to win; success will only be achieved if we are united,” he declared.

Bung acknowledged the significance of the JR machinery, which will now incorporate the Umno/BN Youth and Umno Puteri wings, in engaging young voters and ensuring a successful campaign.

While acknowledging the request from Umno Tenom women’s movement to field more female candidates, Bung Moktar emphasized that BN will prioritise selecting candidates who are capable of winning and who are supported by the majority in their respective areas.
