
(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ronald dela Rosa slipped out of the Senate building before dawn Thursday, a source said.
A senator, who requested anonymity, claimed to have received reliable information that Dela Rosa secretly left the Senate at about 2:30 a.m.
The senator said he received a text message from a Senate personnel about the development.
"Confirmed Sir. 2:30 a.m. lumabas daw po (It's confirmed Sir. [He] reportedly slipped out at 2:30 [a.m.].”
"Talked to SAA (Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao [Aplasca]. Waiting pa daw po sila instruction from Cayetano whether mag release ng statement (They were waiting instructions from [Senate President Alan Peter] Cayetano whether to release a statement [about the matter]," the same staff added.
