Kota Kinabalu: Race 4 will be a sizzler with two earmarked favourites from a packed field of 14 runners fighting for top spot tomorrow (Sunday).

New sheriff in town Kinabalu Prince with an impeccable record of top three positions out of past five runs ought to be the favourite. However, the experienced David’s Sling with leading jockey Fazli D on board is ready for this battle royale.

Dependable Easylights and honest-type Blarney Blink have major say in the proceedings. Star Empire under jockey Vigi should be regarded. Vigi currently with 18 wins is neck to neck with Fazli D (19 wins) gunning for the Jockey Challenge (March-April) title.

With the carry forward totalisator pools from last meeting to this race, a rousing affair is expected. Race 5 over 1400m turf track features another set of elite runners with favourite Kinabalu Warrior ready to shine.

In the absence of the dominant Lord Justice, Kinabalu Warrior on paper should win. It is however not guaranteed as he faces determined challenges from 2025 Fortune Bowl winner Summer Glitter, Smart Lad and Sukoli Beauty (ex. Coronation II).

Hong Kong Race 8 (Class 1) over 1,400m this Sunday is a highlight as well. Patch of Theta drops back in class after finishing down the field in his previous Group One efforts. He should find competition easier at this level.

Rubylot last won the Classic Cup (1800m) on March 2 with a swashbuckling run from behind in the last 400 metres. He must be highly respected.

Beauty Joy, Mugen and Divano round up the selections. Divano is in good form and carries light weight going into the race.
