Bayern Munich chief Christoph Freund says they'll try again for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in January.
With the player in Munich, a deadline day move collapsed earlier this season.
Freund told BILD: "He's still on our list, of course. The club worked hard to find an agreement, but then... They have been strange days on the transfer market. And we still can't say what will happen."
Fruend also discussed Leroy San and reports of issues around his contract talks.
"The news according to which there have been no talks with him for a new agreement are false. Bayern is seeing the best Leroy Sane we have seen so far, he is one of those players around whom we want to build the future of the team."
