Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel says he was proud of his players after their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.
Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland, having set up Bernardo, struck the goals for the hosts as they won the quarterfinal first-leg 3-0.
Tuchel later said, "I think we deserved at least one goal and gave away one or two too many. I think our players were lacking a bit in confidence and form.
"Of course, the result is bitter for us. I fell in love with my team a little today, the way they performed. Even if sounds strange, that was a lot of fun.
"I tried to not allow my players to focus on the result. It does not tell the story of this match. That will be the challenge to focus on the things we did good.
"We played with personality and courage. We did not get the reward we deserved for the effort."
