Bayern Munich centre half Benjamin Pavard has been identified by Manchester United as their key defensive target.
The Frenchman, who can also play at right back, wants to leave for the Old Trafford club.
Per BILD, Pavard wants to play more often and he wants to start at centre back.
His game time at Bayern is usually at right-back, a position he does not enjoy playing.
United could get Pavard for as little as 26 million, according to L'Equipe in France.
The defender only has a year remaining on his contract, which is bringing down his value.
