
Baz Luhrmann has addressed the “weird fascination” with his relationship with his wife, Catherine Martin.
The Elvis director, 63, married the Oscar-winning costume designer, 61, in 1997. The couple share two children, who Luhrmann says sometimes jokingly call him “RuPaul.”
Speaking to Elizabeth Day on her How to Fail podcast, the filmmaker said he can “understand” any fascination with his relationship.
“My stuff is really camp, and our relationship is, well, camp in one regard. I use that theatricality, and there's an underlying seriousness to it.
