BBC Radio 4’s Dame Jenni Murray died 8 days after she was ‘dazzled’ in crash

• Former Radio 4 Woman's Hour presenter Dame Jenni Murray died from complications following a car crash, an inquest at Barnet Coroner's Court has ruled.
• The 75-year-old broadcaster was dazzled by vehicle lights on 4 March before colliding with two stationary vehicles near Hampstead Heath in north London.
• North London area coroner Tony Murphy determined her cause of death was bronchopneumonia brought on by rib and sternum fractures sustained in the accident.
• Dame Jenni, who was the longest-serving host of Woman's Hour after leading the show for 30 years, passed away peacefully in hospital on 12 March.
• The Metropolitan Police conducted an investigation into the collision on Wildwood Road but closed the case with no further action.
