BBC says Monty Don ‘inspired millions’ as he steps down from Gardener’s World

• The current series will be his last, concluding a run of around 700 episodes filmed at Berryfields and his Longmeadow garden in Herefordshire.
• Don explained that now is the right time for a change, as he plans to write more books and work on new projects with the BBC.
• BBC Chief Content Officer Kate Phillips thanked Don for his soothing broadcasting style and his openness about mental health.
• Viewers will still be able to watch Don present from Longmeadow until later this year.
