Lyon are moving for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Soccer Link says Lyon have contacted the 33-year-old Chelsea striker about a January move.
Off contract in June, Giroud could return home to France over the New Year.
For his part, Blues boss Frank Lampard is reluctant to lose the veteran.
"I would like Oli to stay in January. But there's still a long way to go. I want him here," he said.
