BEAUFORT: A district council enforcement officer here was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Perodua Myvi near Kg Takuli along KM12 Jalan Beaufort-Menumbok, Saturday.
District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob identified the deceased as Safli Sulaiman, 47, from Kg Kokoru.
Preliminary investigations showed that the man was returning home from Beaufort town when the 10.30am accident occured.
The Myvi was believed to be heading towards Menumbok from Beaufort before making a sudden U-turn which resulted in the collision with the motorcycle.
The impact left the motorcyclist with severe injuries.
Yusoff Zaki reminded road users against making illegal U-turn to prevent accidents.
