KAJANG: A man drew sharp criticism after he was seen enjoying a beer with his meal at a halal-certified chicken rice restaurant here.
A Threads post claimed he strolled into the eatery holding a can of beer before making himself comfortable.
He allegedly went further by asking staff for a glass, pouring the beer, and drinking it openly at his table.
The restaurant staff reportedly spoke to him politely, but he scolded them instead of backing down.
Security was later called, but the man dismissed their advice, allegedly insisting “1Malaysia” was his excuse.
The incident left the staff frustrated, with one finally removing the glass to end the stand-off.
Netizens were quick to condemn the man’s behaviour, saying he should have known better and chosen a non-halal eatery instead.
