Yesterday, thousands of people from across Malaysia and outside of the country flocked to the public wedding reception of Muar MP Syed Saddiq and singer-actress Bella Astillah, where more than 15,000 attendees turned up.
Amid the chaos and long queues, there were also moments where the couple’s personal space were violated as well, with Bella unfortunately being a victim of it.
Hugged & kissed by random makcik
In a video that has been shared widely on social media, it showed Syed Saddiq and Bella greeting guests who had swamped them from every corner.
While walking, a makcik suddenly wrapped one of her hands around Bella’s neck and pulled her close to kiss her on the cheek.
The makcik even nuzzled her nose several times into Bella’s cheek before letting her go.
The unwanted interaction left Bella visibly stunned as she had to take a moment to process what had just transpired.
Criticism
Netizens were quick to slam the makcik‘s behaviour, saying that it was rude and disrespectful towards the newlyweds.
‘Whose mother is this? Why are you so obsessed (with Bella) at your age?’
‘Sorry but this is too much. Must have been painful to get pulled like this.’
Others praised Bella for keeping her composure despite having her personal space grossly violated by random strangers.
