Liverpool hero Rafa Benitez has warned incoming manager Arne Slot about the job he faces.
The Dutchman must do more than get the players performing to win over the Anfield crowd.
Benitez believes that what is equally important is for Slot to take the time to understand the club's unique culture, as he replaces legendary boss Jurgen Klopp.
Benitez, who won the Champions League with the Reds in 2005, told The Telegraph: Liverpool have seen qualities in Arne that they like.
My biggest advice to him or to any manager is he must be himself while understanding the culture of the club and the city he is coming to work.
Once he understands that, he has made a positive first step and he will be guided down the right path."
