Bersama loses election deposits in at least three Johor seats, trailing in seven others as unofficial results show poor performance.

PETALING JAYA: Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) has lost its election deposits in at least three constituencies in the Johor state election, according to unofficial results.

The party failed to secure the required number of votes to retain its deposits in Tiram, Bukit Naning and Permas.

Bersama, a new party led by former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, is also trailing in another seven constituencies — Puteri Wangsa, Johor Jaya, Stulang, Perling, Skudai, Bukit Permai and Senai — and appears likely to lose its deposits there as well.

In Puteri Wangsa, Bersama received 1,933 votes, while Muda performed better with 4,548 votes.

Bersama contested a total of 15 seats in the Johor state election.

The figures are based on unofficial results and may change as vote counting continues.
