Ideal for kids’ bedrooms and bathrooms, this will bring Alexa to any room, at an affordable price.

Here’s a 46 per cent saving on the second-generation Echo Show 8. Like other members of the Show family, this is a smart speaker that can be used to stream content from services like Netflix, Sky News and Spotify. It has an integrated smart hub, so you don’t need to create a smart home skill to connect devices. “It sounded rich, detailed and oh, could it get loud. Plus, we were able to set up personalised voice recognition for each family member, and Alexa skills worked a dream.”

While we haven’t tested this generation at IndyBest, our tester (and their four-year-old helper) put the previous (4th) generation to the test, and found Amazon Kids took just 10 minutes to set up with enough content “to keep even the most inquisitive child happy almost endlessly”.
