Former Everton midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov hopes they can beat the drop this season.
Bilyaletdinov admits he's nervous for his old club after their 10-point penalty for breaking profit and sustainability laws.
He told TASS: "Everton needs to be saved, and lately they have not been in the best condition.
"Now minus 10 points, if possible, we will need to strengthen in the winter. Still, Everton is a club that has not been relegated from the Premier League, so I don't want to congratulate them on this.
"Diving to the bottom of the table requires the team to have a strong reserve. It is necessary to spend money on strong football players, to insure yourself."
