KENINGAU: The people of Keningau are urged to join in celebrating Independence Month and Sabah Day on August 31.
Making the call, Bingkor Assemblyman Datuk Robert Tawik said the campaign to fly the Jalur Gemilang and the Sabah Flag is actively underway and being celebrated by all races in this country with great enthusiasm.
“We celebrate this festival once a year and hopefully all of us Sabahans will rekindle the celebration of National Month this year because this year is a bit special where the government has gazetted Aug 31 to celebrate Sabah Independence Day for the first time after it was gazetted last June 5, “ he said.
