Former Liverpool fullback Stig Inge Bjornebye has rejected criticism of the Reds' midfield.
It's been suggested Liverpool are struggling due to an ageing engineroom.
But AGF sporting director Bjornebye told VG: "With Klopp's heavy metal football, it is very intense. There is high pressure and intensity throughout the match. It is physically very demanding, and recreating it twice a week is extremely demanding. It is physically and tactically more demanding than people think.
"But Klopp's playing style needs enormous hunger and sacrifice, maybe they need renewal?
"I think it will go better with the team. The capacity is there. There is a new transfer window in January, it is difficult to predict what they will do, but they will not be part of the buying party of Manchester City and Chelsea. It is not charming to buy a player for £100m."
