Now EV owners can charge while parking at The Exchange TRX
BMW Group Malaysia, in collaboration with Gentari Sdn Bhd through its subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, has unveiled new electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at The Exchange TRX. This introduction of cutting-edge facilities at the country’s premier lifestyle destination represents a significant stride in the brand’s commitment to Malaysia’s EV ecosystem.
Luxury Location
Situated in The Exchange TRX’s basement carpark, the newly installed EV charging stations consist of thirteen units of 22kWh AC chargers. These chargers provide EV owners with a rapid and effective way to recharge their vehicles while visiting this upscale shopping and lifestyle hub. Five units are at the Premium Parking level, with the remaining eight situated on Level B1.
Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director at BMW Group Malaysia, emphasised, “The demand for electromobility in Malaysia’s urban centres is flourishing. It is crucial to fortify our EV charging infrastructure to support this positive trend. Through our collaboration with Gentari, we are delighted to reinforce our commitment by deploying advanced charging technology at strategic urban locations to meet the evolving needs of our valued customers.”
Powering An Ecosystem
Shah Yang Razalli, Deputy CEO of Gentari and CEO of Gentari Green Mobility, echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are pleased to further our partnership with BMW Malaysia in advancing Malaysia’s energy transition. To date, BMW Group Malaysia has expanded its charging network to over 2,020 facilities through strategic partnerships with EV charging providers nationwide. Furthermore, more than 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are available at authorised dealerships and partner locations across Malaysia, with plans for further infrastructure expansion in the upcoming year.
