KUALA LUMPUR - Barisan Nasional (BN) announces 108 candidates who will be contesting the state elections in six states next month.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said 62 per cent of the figures are new faces, 18 per cent are state legislative assembly (DUN) incumbents, and 20 per cent are those who have previously contested.

"Out of the 245 state assembly seats in six states, BN is fielding 108 candidates, consisting of new faces, those who had contested, and those who lost and offered themselves again.

"These candidates are a mix of new and old faces, not forgetting those from the Women, Youth and Puteri wings," he said at the World Trade Center (WTC) on Friday.
