Kota Kinabalu: Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) said the party’s manifesto will give top priority to the younger generation (Gen Z) by recognising them as a vital force in shaping Sabah’s future.
The Umno President said Gen Z must no longer be seen as “the leaders of tomorrow,” but as “active assets” who should be empowered to contribute to the State as well as the country.
“We know Gen Z are the nation’s assets, and not just for the future. These are assets that must be used now for the benefit of Sabah, for Malaysia, for Asean and God willing, for the world.
“This is the generation that will drive renewal and transformation,” said Zahid during the *Project Next Gen-Z (PNGz) Tour @ Sabah: Mooda X PNGz* at Odech Beach, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Saturday.
Zahid, who called for unity and renewal, reminded supporters not to be swayed by false promises or divisive politics.
“We have a good track record, but because of slander and hatred, we stepped aside for a while. Now, the ‘blue’ movement will bring progress back to Sabah,” he said.
He added that political change was necessary to rejuvenate leadership and ensure representation from all levels of society.
“It’s time for those at the top to come down, and for those below to rise. That’s how we rebuild Sabah.
“We want to rebuild Sabah… Radu tetap Radu… Radu tetap Radu… Radu sampai manang!“And remember, a great day is coming… a day that will determine the future of our children and all of you, brothers and sisters. Do not make the wrong choice. We must stand together with the ‘blue wave’ that is ahead of us.
“Don’t just fight… fight until win. On Nov. 29, let us mark a new chapter for Sabah.
“With the spirit of Gen Z, I’m confident Sabah will once again shine as one of the most outstanding states in Malaysia.” “We’ve given chances before… remember, when we are given another opportunity, we will correct our past weaknesses and turn them into lessons,” he said.
“We want Sabah to continue progressing within a prosperous and united Malaysia - a Malaysia for all, including Sabah and Sarawak.
“Use your youthful energy to build, not destroy. Use your mind to create, not to incite. Use your spirit to unite, not to divide.
“Let us together nurture the generation of ‘Anak Muda Cemerlang, Negara Terbilang,’.
“A generation that is brave, visionary, and responsible. One that loves its homeland and respects the diversity of its people.
“Most importantly, let us continue to build a harmonious, competitive Sabah with a strong national identity Malaysia that is united, stable, and respected by the world,” said Zahid.
