JOHOR BAHRU - Barisan Nasional (BN) has won a simple majority of 29 out of 56 seats in the 16th Johor state election as of 10.32 pm, Election Commission (EC) chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan said.
"Meanwhile, Pakatan Harapan (PH) has won two seats,” he said in a media conference here tonight.
At least 29 seats are needed for a simple majority to form the Johor state government.
Ramlan also said that other parties, including Perikatan Nasional (PN), Parti Bersama Malaysia, Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA), Parti Orang Asli Malaysia, Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) as well as independent candidates have yet to win any seat. - BERNAMA
