FRENCH banking group BNP Paribas will open a shared services center at Megaworld Corp.’s Uptown Bonifacio township in Taguig City to support its global corporate and institutional banking operations.
The office center, BNP Paribas Solutions Philippines, will occupy space at Uptown Eastgate, a 31-story office tower in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) with about 100,000 square meters of gross leasable area, Megaworld said Monday.
Megaworld global offices head Francis Roxas said the bank’s decision reflected multinational companies’ confidence in Uptown Bonifacio as a location for their operations.
BNP Paribas joins JPMorgan Chase, Google, Tesla, Coca-Cola, and Reckitt Mead Johnson among the multinational companies holding office in the township.
Uptown Bonifacio hosts more than 30 local and multinational companies employing over 60,000 professionals across seven office towers, Megaworld said.
Uptown Eastgate has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification, floor plates of up to 5,000 sqm, and building systems designed for multinational companies and shared services operations.
Paris-based BNP Paribas employs more than 180,000 people across 64 countries and territories, and ranks 58th on the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list, according to Megaworld.
The property developer has nearly 900,000 sqm of office space in BGC, accounting for more than half of its nationwide office portfolio of over 1.7 million sqm.
Megaworld said it closed about 200,000 sqm of office lease transactions in the first nine months of the year across Metro Manila and provincial locations.
On Monday, Megaworld shares inched up by P0.01, or 0.45 percent, to close at P2.25 each.
