BoC hits record P95.85B July collection

THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) broke its monthly and seven-month revenue records after collecting P95.848 billion last July.

The July collection was P4.322-billion higher than the P85.180 billion collected in July last year.

The record performance also pushed the bureau’s January-to-July collections to an unprecedented P587.711 billion — the highest seven-month revenue collection ever — surpassing its target of P576.366 billion.

Compared with the same period in 2025, the bureau collected P43.760 billion more, an 8-percent rise.

The agency credited the record collections to tighter border enforcement, intensified anti-smuggling operations, stronger revenue measures, digital transformation, and closer collaboration with the trading community.

Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno hailed the milestone as proof that the agency’s reforms are delivering tangible results.

“These record-breaking collections are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the Bureau of Customs across the country. I sincerely thank every employee of the BOC for their invaluable service to the nation,” Nepomuceno said.

He said every peso collected helps finance infrastructure, social services, and other development programs while advancing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision of a stronger economy and better opportunities for Filipinos.

The latest milestone also reinforces the bureau’s position as one of the country’s top revenue generators.
