
SANDAKAN: The body of a teenager who went missing, since last Saturday, was discovered by the public in waters off Tanjung Pisau at 8am on Wednesday.
Sandakan Maritime Zone Director, Maritime Captain Muhamad Suhairy Hussain, said Muhammad Nor Aiman Arif, 14, was found fully clothed. He went after heading out to sea to catch prawns with his father and several friends around 5.30am last Saturday.
AdvertisementThe secondary school student failed to return home as usual, prompting his family and villagers to notify the authorities after his cap was found floating near the boat he had been on.
It is believed that the victim was swept away by currents after falling overboard.
