
KENINGAU: The body of a teenage girl, feared to have drowned in the Ansip River here on Wednesday afternoon, was found later the same day by firemen within 10 feet from where she slipped into the river.
Juliana Gabriel, 17, was reportedly washing clothes before the incident happened.
Her remains have been handed over to the police for further action.
The district Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 6.12pm and 11 personnel led by operation commander Sharudy Delamin rushed to the scene.
