BOI approves P1.98B in housing, industrial park projects

THE Board of Investments (BOI) on Tuesday said it has approved two mass housing development projects and a domestic industrial park in Central Luzon with combined investments worth P1.98 billion.

“These projects will provide thousands of housing units for families seeking affordable homeownership, while creating opportunities for businesses to expand and generate jobs through a new industrial park. These will help build stronger communities, attract economic activity to the regions, and bring development closer to where Filipinos live and work,” Trade Secretary and BOI Chairperson Cristina Roque said in a statement.

The housing projects, to be undertaken by Borland Development Corp. in Nueva Ecija, amount to P1.35 billion and consist of over 1,700 units for Filipino families.

Construction starts this month.

Meanwhile, the industrial park development by Fortunetown Properties Corp. in Mexico, Pampanga, spans 24 hectares. It is seen to strengthen Central Luzon’s role as a key manufacturing and logistics hub, supported by its strategic location and connectivity to major infrastructure corridors.

It is expected to stimulate broader economic activity by attracting locators, supporting domestic supply chains, and creating multiplier effects through increased demand for local goods and services.

Construction also starts this month.

“This is how we support and operationalize inclusive development across regions,” said BOI Director for Infrastructure and Services Industry Service Mary Ann Raganit.

From January to May, the BOI has green-lane certified 15 projects worth P345.60 billion.
