Bologna sports chief Marco Di Vaio says they intend to sell Mattias Svanberg this summer.
The Sweden midfielder has attracted a bid from Southampton to the tune of €10m.
The 23-year-old's contract with Bologna expires in 2023 and Di Vaio admits Svanberg will probably be sold this summer.
"We and his agent have different visions," said the former Italy striker.
"An extension seems impossible and we will try to sell him on the best terms for us."
