Bonnie Tyler’s guitarist ‘praying she pulls through’ after emergency surgery

• Welsh pop star Bonnie Tyler is in a medically induced coma following emergency surgery for a burst appendix in Portugal.
• The “Total Eclipse of the Heart” singer’s friend Liberto Mealha told The Sun that Tyler began feeling unwell during a London concert in March before experiencing “severe abdominal pain” in the Algarve.
• Mealha stated that Tyler was urgently transferred to Faro hospital after her appendix burst.
• Tyler's husband, Robert Sullivan, is grateful to the Portuguese medical staff, believing she might not have survived if she had remained in the UK.
• Loved ones, including her guitarist Ed Poole, are “hoping and praying that she pulls through” as her condition remains unknown, with a tour due to start this month.
