Bournemouth captain Neto was pleased after their 1-1 draw with Newcastle United.
It was Bournemouth who went in front after half an hour when Dango Ouattara flicked on a corner and Marcos Senesi was left unmarked at the far post to stab home.
Neto later said: We understood the game. They are a tough club and team.
"We created many chances and had opportunities to win but we have this point and will keep going this week."
He added, "I am very proud to be here. The captain is the choice of the gaffer and I am really happy."
