Boy, 14, drowns in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A 14-year-old boy drowned while bathing at a river in Kampung Sepagaya, Batu 5, here, Friday.

Muhamad Zulaimie was bathing with his friends when the incident happened.

A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call at 3.12pm and a team from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene in a fire engine.

When they arrived, the victim had already been found by the public.
