PAPAR: A 13-year-old was rescued after his foot was trapped in a metal drain grate at Lorong Sabindoo, Kinarut, here, Thursday morning.
According to Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, a team of six personnel led by Officer Norazrin Suhairi from Putatan fire station rushed to the scene after being notified at 10.50am.
Upon arrival, the team used a Rescuetech Spreader to widen the gap before safely removing the boy’s foot that was stuck between the metal grating located by the roadside drain.
The boy suffered no injuries and the operation concluded at 11am after firefighters confirmed that no further hazards were present.
