BREAKING: TUDM Fighter Jet Crashes on Takeoff in Kuantan, 2 Pilots Reportedly Safe

The Royal Malaysia Air Force (TUDM) has confirmed that an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet was involved in a crash at the Kuantan airbase in Pahang earlier tonight.

RMAF Chief General Datuk Seri Muhammad Norazlan Aris, the aircraft crashed at 9:05 PM at the runway of the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport.

Sinar Harian quoted Muhammad Norazlan as saying that TUDM has taken immediate action and will inform the latest about the incident soon.

“All parties are requested not to spread any speculation or unverified news,” said the TUDM Chief.

It is understood that both pilots inside the aircraft are safe. Meanwhile, other Malaysian media reported that the incident took place during takeoff.

Furthermore, two videos have been circulating online, allegedly showing the incident.
