Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon Prof Dr Aishah Taib from Universiti Malaya Specialist Centre sheds light on an emerging concern: breast cancer cases among younger women in Southeast Asia are on the rise.

She explains that socioeconomic changes, such as delayed motherhood and earlier onset of menstruation, are increasing risk factors.

Although clinical treatment protocols are generally similar across age groups and based on tumour biology, managing younger patients requires a more holistic approach.
