Brentford boss Thomas Frank was happy with his players after defeat at Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford struck the only goal of the game as United achieved a first win in the Premier League since the Carabao Cup final.
Frank later said: "I love my team, it is a fantastic team and it's a very good sign of how far we have come that we are disappointed not to get anything out of a game at Old Trafford. We didn't hit our highest level, Man United came with exactly what we expected in the first half, they dominated but didn't create major chances.
"Second half was much more the team I like to see, being aggressive and pressing. We could have equalised. Overall pleased with the second half but disappointed that we didn't hit a higher level and just big praise to the players for how far they have come.
"We felt there was something for us we tried to bring offensive players in but unfortunately we couldn't get it in the net.
"We work so hard and we are difficult to beat, I thought we were difficult to beat today so we just need to continue."
