Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi has admitted interest in Fiorentina defender Igor.
Talks are at an advanced stage between the two clubs.
De Zerbi said: "Maybe you have more information than me but Igor is a good player.
I think he has the right quality, the right characteristics to play in the Premier League because it is a different league, a different competition.
He can be a right player for us to complete the squad and to be important for us."
