Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is happy with new signing Joao Pedro, who came off the bench to great effect on the weekend.
Over 21 players earned minutes in the first Premier League Summer Series preseason friendly the club played against Chelsea.
One of them was Pedro, with the 21-year-old Brazilian getting to play 37 minutes in the second half.
[He's a] top player for us," head coach De Zerbi said post-match of Pedro's goalscoring exploits.
He's still young, but I think he can be a crucial player for us this season because he has incredible ability, he's a complete player.
"He knows how to score, he has the abilities to attack the spaces on the field, he has incredible technical abilities and I am excited for this new player."
