Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi says that he wants to assist Enock Mwepu in adapting to his new life.
The 24-year-old has retired from the sport at the age of 24 due to a heart condition.
Mwepu's final game as a pro turned out to be the last game that now Chelsea boss Graham Potter managed at Brighton.
De Zerbo told a press conference: “I don't want to speak to about money, I only want to speak about him as a human being.
“I am very sorry for him, for his family.
“I wrote a message to him, that I am always ready to listen to what he wants to do and I am ready to help him."
