MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra massacred Rain or Shine, 114-90 behind its 21 three-point shots to boost its PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup top 4 hopes on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Justin Brownlee torched with 40 points, lacing his solid scoring with six triples, to go along with eight rebounds and five assists. RJ Abarrientos added 23, going 4-of-9 from three-point distance, along with six rebounds and 11 assists.
His backcourt mate Scottie Thompson had 17 markers and 16 boards, while Ralph Cu had 15, as the two Ginebra stalwarts made five threes each.
Jaylen Johnson led Rain or Shine with 16 points and 15 rebounds, but his team shot just 36.5 percent from the field.
Ginebra moves up to a share of second spot with ROS at 8-3. The Elasto Painters have lost three of their last four games since starting the conference at 7-0.
NLEX leads the conference at 9-2.
