After more than a decade since their last appearance in the country, BTS is officially set to return to Malaysia as part of an enormous 2026–2027 world tour, marking one of the most significant concert announcements of the decade for local fans.

BIGHIT MUSIC has confirmed that the global superstars will embark on a new world tour spanning five continents, 34 cities and a total of 79 shows. Malaysia has secured two concert dates, scheduled for 12 and 13 December 2026, ending an 11-year wait since the group last performed in Kuala Lumpur in 2015.

The tour announcement arrives at a pivotal moment for BTS. With all seven members having completed their mandatory military service, the group is preparing for a full-scale return, including a comeback single slated for release on 20 March 2026. For ARMYs around the world, this tour represents the long-awaited reunion of BTS as a complete group on stage.

The tour will begin in South Korea with three opening shows in Goyang on 9, 11 and 12 April 2026, before moving on to Japan with performances at Tokyo Dome. From there, BTS will travel to North America for an extensive run covering 12 cities and 28 shows, including major stops such as Las Vegas, Mexico City, New Jersey and a four-night finale in Los Angeles.

Europe will host the group in June and July 2026, with concerts confirmed in Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris. Latin America follows with dates across Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, underlining BTS’s continued commitment to regions often overlooked by large-scale tours.

The Asia-Pacific leg begins later in the year, bringing the group to Kaohsiung and Bangkok before their highly anticipated return to Malaysia on 12 and 13 December. Following the Kuala Lumpur shows, BTS will head to Singapore for four nights, then conclude the 2026 schedule with two performances in Jakarta. The tour continues into 2027 with dates in Melbourne and Sydney, before wrapping up in Hong Kong and Manila. Additional cities in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be announced.

What we know about the BTS concert in Malaysia so far

While venue and ticketing details for the Kuala Lumpur concerts have yet to be revealed, Live Nation Malaysia has confirmed that further information will be shared soon. That said, fans who registered early for the official ARMY MEMBERSHIP will be given priority access through an exclusive presale, as stated on the official BTS World Tour website. If you have not yet signed up, registration is available via Weverse, where membership holders will gain early access before tickets are released to the general public.

Just like TWICE’s ‘THIS IS FOR’ world tour, BTS will be breaking away from the traditional front-facing set-up by featuring a 360-degree stage placed at the centre of each venue. Designed to immerse audiences from every angle, the format allows for larger capacities and closer engagement between BTS and their fans. Though common among Western stadium tours, such staging remains rare within K-pop.
