BTS is not slowing down this year, as their presence is even being felt in the world of confectionery, with Oreo announcing a limited-edition cookie flavour.
The flavour references the traditional South Korean street food Hotteok, a pancake made from a chewy yeast dough stuffed with molten brown sugar, cinnamon, and crushed nuts. They also see a purple biscuit as a nod to the colour the group and ARMY are closely associated with since 2016.
Celebrating 13 years as a group, the cookies also see 13 different cookie embossments with phrases dedicated to their fans, “Dear BTS Army,” The Biggest Live BTS ARMY,” as well as heart gestures and a BTS light stick. To further pay tribute to the fans, there’s also a QR code on the pack where fans can write messages to the group, which will be part of the launch.
BTS commented on the release with, “We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now Oreo is helping us share a taste of home with the world.” Fans can look forward to the limited-edition OREO x BTS cookies launching in 80 countries on 8 June. For Malaysian ARMYs, a presale will be available on Shopee from 2 June through the Mondelez Official Store. To celebrate the launch, an OREO x BTS pop-up experience will take place at Sunway Pyramid from 8 to 14 June 2026, featuring product sampling, interactive activities, and exclusive OREO x BTS merchandise redemptions with purchase, while stocks last.
