Indian youths will gain more training and employment opportunities in high-skilled industries as MITRA receives RM150 million under Budget 2027.

PETALING JAYA: Indian youths will receive greater access to training and employment opportunities in high-skilled industries, including aircraft maintenance, industrial automation and technology, as the government increases Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) allocation to RM150 million under Budget 2027.

Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the increased funding for the MITRA would prioritise equipping Indian youths with industry-relevant skills and improving their employment prospects.

The initiative forms part of the government’s efforts to strengthen talent development and expand career opportunities for the Indian community.
